2009 Penn State STI Classes are : Session 1: July 6th* through July 17th *(must arrive on July 5th) Introduction To Engineering Design (IED) Complete the Penn State IED Pre-Training Experience Survey Online Civil Engineering and Architecture (CEA) Complete the Penn State CEA Pre-Training Experience Survey Online Session 2: July 19th through July 31st Introduction To Engineering Design (IED) Complete the Penn State IED (2nd session) Pre-Training Experience Survey Online If a STI that you need is not offered at Penn State Berks, you are free to take that course at any Affiliate University nationwide. You can visit this webpage on the PLTW national website, then click on an Affiliate University logo to see what training they will be offering. If an STI is offered at Penn State Berks, you must take the STI at Penn State except in cases of extreme hardship. A hardship waiver must be applied for and approved by the Affiliate Director and your School Superintendent. Penn State 2009 Summer Training Institute Costs Tuition per STI course: $2,100 Room Only: $850 (12 nights, air-conditioned, Internet equipped, secure dorm, private room and private bath) Full Commuter Meal Plan: $450 - Includes all catered meals including 10 hot breakfasts, 10 lunches, 8 dinners, 20 break refreshments (no Friday night dinners) Full Room and Board Plan: $1,300 – includes all catered meals including 10 hot breakfasts, 10 lunches, 8 dinners, 20 break refreshments (no Friday night dinners, no weekend meals) There are over 100 restaurants within a 2 mile radius of our campus.) Full Commuter Lunch Plan: $200 - Includes 10 catered lunches, 20 break refreshments
PA Residents per credit hour: $616/credit hour Non-PA Residents per credit hour: $874/credit hour Plus $56 Fees for 1 to 4 credits. All PSU STI Graduate Courses are 3 credit hours RIT Graduate Credit Hours Also Available: See RIT Webpage for further information. *NOTICE: Students that take Graduate Credits are responsible for determining the applicability of the credits to their individual program (s). Penn State reserves the right to cancel any STI or STI Penn State Graduate Credit course for which there is insufficient enrollment.
